As we welcome new scouts to our pack we will introduce them to the Scout Law, Oath, Motto, and more.
Theme: "Curiosity & Discovery"
Focus: Hands-on science and STEM fun
Activities: Slime, rockets, balloon-powered cars, static electricity demos
Theme: "Full Steam Ahead"
Focus: Friendly competition, creativity, and engineering
Activities: Boat building and racing; awards for spirit, design, etc.
Focus: Logic, teamwork, critical thinking
Activities: Solve a themed mystery or escape-room style game with clues
Fun Twist: Detective costumes or spy gadgets (magnifying glasses, fingerprinting)
Theme: "Light Up the Season"
Focus: Cultural appreciation and creativity
Activities: Learn about winter holidays from around the world, make lanterns or candle holders, share traditions
Bonus: Light parade around the meeting space with homemade glowing crafts
Focus: Real-life heroism, doing good turns
Activities: Obstacle course, good-turn challenge, cape craft station
Optional Guest: Firefighter, paramedic, or veteran
The blue and gold colors of Cub Scouting represent the values of truth, loyalty, and cheerfulness. These values are important to us as Cub Scouts, and we celebrate them at our Blue and Gold meeting.
Theme: "Gear Up & Go"
Focus: Car weigh-in and readiness
Optional Add-ons: Car design display, vote for “fan favorite” before race day.
Focus: Fun with history and storytelling
Activities: Scouts dress as historical figures (or bring props), do a short “time travel” skit or trivia game
Optional: Museum scavenger hunt if off-site
Focus: Celebrate achievements and have a blast
Activities: Outdoor carnival-style stations (ring toss, water relays, face painting)
Includes: Advancement ceremony and bridging
